Global Tourism Forum brings media and business partners together at Brussels Press Club ahead of annual meeting 2026
21 October 2026

Global Tourism Forum held a press briefing at the Brussels Press Club, bringing together journalists, business partners and invited speakers ahead of its Annual Meeting in Brussels in November 2026.
The briefing provided an opportunity to introduce the forthcoming meeting, engage with the media and strengthen dialogue with partners. The morning programme combined opening remarks, a presentation by Bulut Bağcı, contributions from guest speakers and a dedicated question-and-answer session.
A platform for media engagement
António Buscardini opened the briefing with welcoming remarks before handing over to Bulut Bağcı, who presented Global Tourism Forum and the context for its forthcoming Annual Meeting.
The programme also featured Geert Cochez, Csilla Mezösi and Lilla Harangozó, each contributing to the morning’s speaker programme. Following the presentations, journalists had the opportunity to put questions directly to the speakers during an extended Q&A session.
The event concluded with closing remarks and networking, allowing media representatives, speakers and business partners to continue their conversations and establish further contact.
Investment and security at the centre of the Brussels meeting
Global Tourism Forum’s Annual Meeting 2026 will take place in Brussels in November under the theme “Investment and Security.” The theme brings together two closely connected priorities for tourism: attracting long-term investment and creating the conditions for confidence, stability and international mobility.
The meeting’s focus reflects the need for dialogue between public institutions and the private sector. Tourism development depends on decisions that extend across borders and industries, from infrastructure and connectivity to destination development and the movement of people and capital.
Against this background, Global Tourism Forum seeks to provide a platform where public and private sector participants can exchange perspectives, build relationships and explore opportunities for cooperation.
Brussels provides a relevant setting for these conversations, connecting the tourism and investment agenda with the wider European policy environment and an international diplomatic and business community.
Building engagement ahead of November
The press briefing marked a further step in Global Tourism Forum’s preparations for the Annual Meeting, establishing direct contact with journalists and providing a setting for questions and discussion ahead of the November gathering.
Media engagement forms an important part of communicating the meeting’s purpose and bringing its agenda to a wider audience. The participation of business partners also reflected the role of collaboration in developing the Forum’s activities and supporting its international engagement.
Following the briefing, Bulut Bağcı expressed his appreciation to all journalists who attended and thanked the valued business partners who joined the event for their presence and continued support.
Further information on the Annual Meeting’s programme and participation will be communicated through Global Tourism Forum’s official channels.
