Podcast: Leen Gysen

We are pleased to announce a new episode of the Travel Tomorrow podcast.

Flanders is experiencing strong tourism growth, welcoming around 15.4 million visitors in 2025. From its historic cities and world-renowned cultural heritage to gastronomy, cycling and new tourism experiences, the region continues to attract visitors from across Europe and beyond.

In this episode, Travel Tomorrow welcomes Leen Gysen, CEO of Visit Flanders, to discuss the future of tourism in Flanders and the opportunities and challenges facing destinations in an increasingly competitive environment.

The conversation explores what is driving tourism growth in Flanders and how success can be measured beyond visitor numbers. Leen Gysen also discusses Visit Flanders’ priorities for 2026, sustainability and climate action, the development of new experiences such as wine tourism, and the growing role of digital innovation and artificial intelligence in shaping the visitor experience and the future of tourism

Launched following the fifth anniversary year of Travel Tomorrow, the podcast series expands our storytelling into a new format. Each 20-minute episode offers an in-depth conversation with industry voices, exploring the challenges and opportunities shaping travel and tourism today.

The episode is presented by António Buscardini and produced by Anna Ignatova.
